A commercial EICR inspects and tests the electrical installation in your business premises and records its condition. We test shops, offices and other workplaces across Manchester, with free quotes.

The Electricity at Work Regulations require employers to keep electrical systems safe, and a current EICR is the usual way to show this. Landlords, letting agents and fire risk assessors often ask to see one too, so it's worth keeping your report up to date.
The gap between inspections depends on the type of premises. Offices and shops are commonly tested every 5 years, while workshops, industrial units and leisure premises often need shorter intervals. Your last report will state the recommended date for the next one.
Testing means switching circuits off one at a time, so we plan the visit around your business. We can test the building in stages, start early or work into the evening, and keep essential circuits such as tills, IT or refrigeration running for as long as possible.
Before the visit, we ask about the size of the premises, the number of distribution boards and any circuits that can't be switched off during trading hours. We also check whether previous reports and drawings are available, as these speed up the inspection.
On the day, we inspect the installation, test each circuit and note every defect with its code. You receive a full report explaining the results. If remedial work is needed, we give you a free quote and can complete the repairs, then confirm the installation is satisfactory.
Call or send us a message about the job. We'll get back to you the same day to arrange a visit.
An electrician looks at the work and gives you a free, no-obligation quote before anything starts.
We complete the job, test everything we've worked on and give you the certificate for your records.
Most offices are inspected at least every 5 years, but the right interval depends on how the building is used and the condition of the installation. Your previous EICR will state when the next inspection is due. If you don't have one, it's a good idea to book a test now.
No. Circuits are switched off one at a time and only for as long as each test takes. We agree the order with you beforehand, keep critical equipment running where we can and can test outside your busiest hours, so trading carries on through the inspection.
It depends on your lease. Landlords often cover the fixed wiring in shared parts of the building, while tenants are responsible for the installation within their own unit. Check the repair clauses in your lease, and if it isn't clear, ask the landlord or agent before booking.
It means at least one defect coded C1, C2 or FI was found. Dangerous C1 issues are made safe immediately. The other defects should be fixed promptly to meet your legal duties. We give you a free quote for the remedial work and update your records once it's complete.
